June 24, 2010 Our home away from home
Three guys fit very nicely in here. You might be able to see that the window has bars across it – guess why!
The meals are great! Even though we eat three times a day, we always seem to be hungry at mealtime!
We meet in this room several times a day for our morning activities briefing, class lectures, and just plain ole hanging out.

Didn’t know you took shorts and zories. Guess you can take the guy out of Southern Cal but you can’t take SoCal out of the guy!

I wear my shorts to breakfast every morning and in the evening after dinner. The temp inside is quite comfortable, but you can tell only a few seconds later whenever someone opens an outside door in the building.

hmmm, well i think the bars are to keep the animals, like bears from breaking in. is that right? i dunno. are all the other teachers friendly?

Yup…when standing on their hind legs, bears can easily lunge through a high window!
All the teachers are very friendly, fun-loving, and adventuresome. I guess we all should be, to sign up for a trip like this!

They build igloos up here, but only from around Oct through Apr. The rest of the year they live in real buildings!
